Exploring Bosnia and Herzegovina: A 7-Day Adventure

Today, you will have a full-day sightseeing tour of Sarajevo. Visit the Bascarsija Square, the heart of the Old Town and one of Europe's largest and most well-preserved Ottoman bazaars. See the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, the largest mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most important Islamic landmarks in the country. And walk across the Latin Bridge, the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary, which sparked World War I. In the afternoon, visit the Austro-Hungarian architecture of the city center, including the Cathedral, Orthodox Church, Liberation Square, and Markale Marketplace. Sarajevo was once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and this architecture is a reminder of that era. Later you can enjoy some free time in the famous oriental old town 'Bascarsija' and try local food or shop for colourful handicrafts. Overnight.

This morning, you will drive to Visegrad, a town on the Drina River. Visit the Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic bridges in the Balkans. It was built in the 16th century by the Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan.
In the afternoon, visit the Andricgrad, a cultural complex dedicated to the Nobel laureate Ivo Andric, born in Visegrad. The complex includes a bridge, a museum, and a library. Overnight.

After breakfast, you will drive to Tjentiste, a village in the Sutjeska National Park. Visit the Sutjeska Memorial Center, commemorating the Battle of the Sutjeska, one of the most critical battles of World War II in Yugoslavia.
In the afternoon, continue driving to Mostar. Visit the Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic landmarks in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was destroyed during the Bosnian War in 1993 but was rebuilt in 2004. Also, visit the Coppersmiths' Street, the Crooked Bridge, and the Koski Mehmet Pasha Mosque. Overnight in Mostar.

In the morning, you will drive to Vrelo Bune, the source of the Buna River. The Buna River is known for its crystal-clear water and is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing.
Continue driving to Pocitelj, a medieval stone town located on the Neretva River. It was built in the 15th century by the Ottomans and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, drive to the Kravica Waterfalls, a series of waterfalls located on the Trebizat River. The waterfalls are a popular spot for swimming and picnicking. Finally, drive to Medjugorje, a town known for its Marian apparitions. The town is a popular pilgrimage site for Catholics from all over the world. Return to Mostar in the evening. Overnight.

Today, you will drive to Jajce, the royal capital of the Bosnian Kingdom in the 14th and 15th centuries. It is located on the Pliva River, known for its waterfalls and turquoise lakes. Visit the 25-meter high waterfall in the city center, the medieval fortress above the city, the beautiful Pliva lakes, and the wooden watermills.
Continue driving to Travnik to visit the medieval fortress on the hill in the city center and the Plava Voda springs. Travnik was the capital of the Ottoman Bosnia Eyalet in the 18th and 19th centuries. Return to Sarajevo in the evening. Overnight.
