Start the day by visiting Bled, Slovenia's most popular tourist resort. Take a ride around the lake and enjoy the photo opportunities of this picturesque Slovenian treasure with its emerald-green lake, picture-postcard church on an islet, and a medieval castle clinging to a rocky 139 m high cliff. Remember to try the typical and sinfully good cream cake 'kremsnita'. Then, continue to the valley of Bohinj, with its unspoiled nature and a glacial lake amidst the Julian Alps, with its brooding, eerily calm, and silent body of water. This lake is a nature lovers' paradise. See where the local mountaineers first climbed Mt. Triglav (Slovenian highest mountain-2864 m). After the visit, take the cable car to Mount Vogel. This alpine ski resort is also a popular tourist and hiker destination in the summer. From there, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Bohinj Valley. Have some free time for a mountain snack or lunch, then return to Bled for an overnight.
*Optional visit to Savica waterfall instead of Vogel.
